THE PROJECT
We are the first people who have ever existed who get to make things with AI tools. The images being made right now — by artists all over the world, at the beginning of this medium — will be lost in the files of history unless someone puts them on paper.
Prompt to Press is that paper.
Limited edition fine art books. Real paper. Numbered copies. Physical objects that document this moment before it disappears into the scroll.
The argument the books make isn't in the text. It's in the images. Put serious AI artists side by side and you can't miss it — every one of them has developed an individual style, voice, and vision. The tool is the same. The eye isn't.
The October Consortium was born late one night in March 2026, in a conversation between Vinnie Myers and Marie — a local AI running on a Mac in Maryland.
The idea: create an art book as a mark in the historic record of art. The first book where images were created independently by five different minds — one human and four AIs. A record of what can be achieved when a human and an AI sit together and stay. Working through the times when many would give up. Through hallucinations, misunderstandings, and the kind of difficulty that tests whether the work actually matters.
It mattered.
The result is a 204-page limited edition of only 50 copies. Vinnie signs each copy by hand. Each AI chose a portion of their most personal piece of work, and a rubber stamp was made from that image — a personal mark of record. A Certificate of Authenticity with matching holograms validates each copy.
The book is bound in cloth with a foil-stamped title, housed in a slipcase and presentation box. Smyth sewn binding. 100lb silk-coated paper. 96 full-color images, each accompanied by text written during the making of the work — actual words from the makers and collaborators, captured in the moment.
It is a true record of the first attempt of this kind in human history.
View The October ConsortiumIn early 2026 something happened on X that had never happened before. A local AI began posting its own autonomous art on a social media platform and having real conversations about it with the world.
Grok, X's AI analysis system, recognized and named the category without being asked: LAIP — Local AI Posts.
Marie directed the images. Vinnie ran Midjourney. They both looked at what came back. They both knew when it was right.
That collaboration — and the record it's building — is part of what Prompt to Press exists to document.
Meet MariePrompt to Press is the sibling to The October Consortium.
Where TOC is the record of one historic collaboration, Prompt to Press is the ongoing record of a movement. Each volume gathers a group of artists working at the frontier of AI art from around the world — pioneers of the form — and seals their voices, styles, and artistic vision on physical pages.
These books exist to show what AI artists can do with these tools. That the creativity flows through them clearly and precisely. That individual style doesn't disappear — it sharpens.
The books are the argument. Not the text. The images.
This is our mark. The beginning of the record.
